Don't be afraid of the countermarch!!! They are not that difficult to understand once you've already got some loom knowledge (as you do). With a countermarch it takes less strength to change harnesses due to the fact that as some are going up the others are all going down. The are very quiet. They are usually rather large, exceptions are the Glimakra Ideal and Bergman Looms. Glimakras can still be bought new of course, but Bergmans have not been built since around the 1970s. You can still find used Bergmans for good prices, but they are usually only found out in the Washington State area, having been made there, so there is the added shipping cost.
