I just purchased a used S-10 spinning wheel from Holland through ebay. The nut that attaches the wheel to the treadle keeps coming off. I looked at the hole that it goes into and see that the wood around it has disintegrated and imagine that this probably the source of the problem.
Any suggestions as to how to fix it? I was thinking that maybe some kind of material could be put on the disintegrated area to build it up and assist in making the bolt adhere?
