Robin,
It would be a long drive for you to come to the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival May 7 & 8, but it would be well worth it for you. You can try just about every wheel available. They ALL come to Maryland!! And they all allow "test drives" You might be able to contact the Jensens directly and visit them to try the wheels, Wisconsin is not too far away. He also makes his saxonys right or left, single or double treadle. A friend of mine purchased a Lendrum saxony last year and it is a very good wheel but I don't like the bearings, they are synthetic material and even with gallons of oil they make noise. She also had to have a modification or repair soon after she got it. The drive wheel wasn't aligning properly and rubbed against the upright. If by any chance you are able to come for the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival let me know and we can get together. Feel free to e-mail me directly badcatbp@hotmail.com
