Dear Beth, thanks for your recommendation of the Jensen wheels. Yes I have indeed been looking these over closely, as closely as I am able by seeing them on websites. I love how they look and have a friend who has a friend who has a friend who has one who raves about it as you do yours! The 30" saxony appeals to me tremendously and if it treadles like butter and spins absolutely smoothly, then I could see it being my final destination. But I have never seen one, not even a Tina II has shown up at my area fiber fest in the last nine years that I've been attending so that I could meet one in person. I do feel good about these wheels though and they are definitely in the running, definitely much more reasonably priced than a Wyatt, and might just turn out to be the magic answer! I will definitely let you know when I finally figure it out. And, I am in Michigan.
