On Spinning Books-
I have the "Spinning and Spinning Wheels" by Eliza Leadbeater. It is a small book, but packed with the history of the different types of wheels. It's very interesting and informative. It does not teach you how to spin. I have heard that the best spinning book out there is the "Hands on Spinning", although I do not own it. You could look for spinning videos at Victorian Videos (victorianvid.com). The best way to learn is by watching and doing. Join a guild. Also try: Spinning Wheel Sleuth (spwhsl.com) & JoyOfHandspinning.com. Have fun!
