I am trying to learn to use a drop spindle for a project I want to do with my class. The problem is that when I get the wool spinning, it kinks and twists up on itself. What am I doing wrong? I've tried holding the wool tighter and looser, spinning faster and slower. When I try taking the kinks out the bunch of wool untwists itself and I have to start all over. I'm about ready to throw the thing out the window! Can someone help? Thanks.
