I have just received such a wheel from my husband, who found it in a second hand shop in Queensland, Australia.
I also am trying to find out more about it.
It is indeed a pretty spinning wheel and spins very nicely.
Have you had any luck in your enquiries?
I am a spinner and weaver and a lacemaker and very keen to know more about this.
