I just purchased a lovely little spinning wheel from an estate auction. It has the stamp "Tekoteko, Made in New Zealand" underneath but i can find no info at all on the web about this brand. I think it is possibly from the 60's or 70's. I mainly wanted it as a decorative piece, as it it quite pretty, but it appears to be complete and in working order so thought i may as well have a go at learning to spin. I have no idea of the quality of the wheel but would appreciate it if anyone has any info at all on this wheel/brand.
