i just recieved a loom from Newcomb Loom Co., Davenport, Iowa. the only info i was given on it was:

that it was the mans mothers.
she got it in the 1930's.
she was able to make up to 30 inch rugs on it.
it was made in Davenport Ia

can people make some suggestions on where to find more info on it, how to set it up, how to actually use it?

i've never used a loom before but the guy said that if i had a truck it would fit in i could have it so i took it home with me. he said if i didnt want it than he was going to burn it this winter since it was in his way. the guy was very friendly it just is huge and he wanted it gone.

he said that it was dismanteled so he could put it in his barn but the pieces are all numbered so it could be put back together. he believes it its all there and it worked when his mother died. there is still part of a rug on it.

can anyone help me out?
