For Sale: A vintage counter balance loom that has been refinished and fully restored. The loom is a Walker Manufacturing Company Loom from Philadelphia Pa. and is in excellent condition. It has 4 harnesses and a 36 inch weaving width. Leclerc sectional bars were added to the back beam, which can easily be removed to return the loom to a plain back beam. Comes with a bench and two reeds: a stainless steel 36.75 inch wide 12 dent and a 40 inch - 10 dent with some rust. The 40 inch reed is a tight fit in the beater but does work. The only change I have made to the loom was the addition of new bolts and wing nuts to the beater to make it easier to change reeds and a new cloth apron. Original bolts to the beater come with. This loom is a perfect fit for someone who is interested in weaving and wants a visually pleasing work of art in their studio. I am facilitating the sale of this loom for a friend and the loom is currently in my studio. She is asking $850.00. I travel once a month on I90 towards Erie and then down I79 towards Pittsburgh and can easily take the loom with me. The overall dimensions are 48.5 inches wide by 43 inches deep and can be disassembled. This does not take into account the brake handle on the back. Let me know if you have any questions or would like a shipping estimate. It can be picked up in Rochester, NY and there are many images of the loom available, please contact me for images at ldkocher@hotmail.com
