I just bought an old Gilmore loom. It dates before 1956 as it has the Commerce St. address on it and has fixed beams that are removed by pulling them off. Are there any other old Gilmore looms out there? I have questions about the loom and it's operation. I have contacted Gilmore and know that my loom could be from the 40's but not 30's. I am wondering if I should lower the back beam so that the warp will lie straight rather than dip down in the middle(& probably cause floating harness'?). Any comments would be appreciated!
