i have a husky and spin her down. i have a louet and that works well. you can either card the fur with wool so that some of wool's properties are brought over to the dog, i.e., elasticity, memory, or spin it by itself. it works up like angora and needs a bit more twist. it's fuzzy like angora. it's also much warmer than wool so i would keep that in mind. you'd probably only be able to wear a sweater made entirely out of husky in the coldest of winters.
