I'm so sorry to hear of your accident. I hope you feel better soon. I have some advice on an electric spinner. I wanted to try one as inexpensively as possible, and looked for a long time in the used categories...none out there! So I ordered the inexpensive (comparatively, to other electric spinners!) Babe electric spinner, and I just love it. If you can get it from Babe with a "dimmer switch" type of control instead of the foot pedal control it's much easier to use. Ask them if they will do this for you. I unfortunately didn't get it with a "dimmer switch" type of control, so I simple went to the hardware store, bought a push on/off, twist to control speed type dimmer switch, and a box to put it in (just ask - the hardware store people will tell you about it!) and re-wired the Babe spinner to work on the dimmer switch. Anyone you know who is the least bit handy can do this for you if you need it done - ask your friends (grin!) I put the whole assembly - spinner and dimmer switch control box - on a small tea-tray to get a flat surface so I could set it in my lap, and I now spin in bed on cold mornings. and its WONDERFUL! The Babe is not as fancy as other electric spinners, and frankly, it's pretty homely (grin!) but so far it's done a beautiful job for me under tough working conditions. I'm not associated with them in any way, by the way - just love this product of theirs!
