Gary,
THere is a weaving guild listed in Polk County in Winter Haven. It is the Polk County Fiber Guild, 517 Pebble Springs Court, Winter Haven, Fl 33884. That is a good place to start to get a name of someone who can help you get started. I know that Kromski also makes a self start video....one of my weaving students got one and set up his first two warps on his own. (then came to me for floor loom weaving lessons). I am a little to far away (omaha) to be able to help. Convergence (Handweavers Guild of America) weaving conference is in Tampa this summer. It might be overwhelming, but worth a day trip to the vendor area just to get some ideas. There is also a good book by Davenport called hands on rigid heddle weaving.
HGA's website is weavespindye.org. Good Luck,
Sharon
