I have not had access to a computer for a long time but I hope that I can help a little. You did not say what kind of counterbalace loom you own. My loom is a Fanny Loom from Leclerc Looms. Other than posting questions on this site, another thing that helped me was Leclerc looms website. You can download manuals for their looms for free and it saved me a lot of headaches. I found out that I needed certain parts and also found a site "Camilla Valley Farms" had amazing pictures and wonderful descriptions of all the parts of old model looms as well as their new ones. I've rented books from the library to get started. If you want to email me, I can give you a list of books worth starting off with. I have a limited budget, and couldn't afford all the wonderful suggested videos and books. Slowly since I have had my loom which is now a year old for me, I have picked up books at sales and stuff.
