please do NOT let either of these looms be your introduction to weaving. Check out the Harrisville designs "Easy WEaver" rigid-heddle looms. I got a Brio to check it out for my kids' classes and found it very unsatisfactory. THe opening (shed) is very narrow and you will get frustrated fast.
See if there are some good weaving classes in your area and get some instruction in dressing the loom if you can. The Easy Weavers have the advantage that you can order the warp threaded into the heddle if you want to and it is easy to put on. However, you are limited to THEIR colours. THe EW is still pretty easy to dress, though, once you have learned to wind a warp.
You can pay full price for one of them from a dealer or keep your eye on ebay and pick them up for far less.
Any good rigid heddle would be a HUGE improvement on either of the looms you mention.
