I have a Hammett and love it. It is currently disassembled & packed for moving, but I might have some pictures saved in my old computer. As I recall, the ratchet was pretty simple & mine was missing the "tightener bar" so someone sent me a pic of theirs & hubby made me one! Previously I could only turn the front roller by hand, then had to get up & crank on the rear to tighten the tension.
