We have developed a sophisticated simulation model that captures the complexity of several breaks occurring in Spinning frames and what type of routing a sider must follow. Model optimises the allocation and routing given number of the frames, spindles and number of breaks per 1000 spindle hours. This is a very complex queuing problem and now we have achieved a break through in simulating and find a solution. Also the simulation model provides insights into the costing of the yarn accurately. This could help in finalising the business deals.
