i'm a handspinner by drop spindle and i'm interested in weaving. i also may be interested in preparing for a reenactment group set in the 1500s. does anyone know what types of looms were used to weave in europe in the 1500s? i think they relied on purhcased fabric then, but what would the farmer's wife be weaving with if she were to weave for clothing in that area and time span?
