I'm glad to see your interest in the two shaft weaves. There are several brands of two shaft table looms still functional that were built in the 1940's. Check ebay, they usually have string heddles. They are often sold as children's looms but I don't believe a child could rewarp one alone. And, of course, most four shaft counterbalance looms can be adjusted to weave with only two shafts. Here are some books with two shaft directions if you like to search for old books.
"Adventures in Weaving on a 2 Harness Loom" by Alice K Cripps, 1950.
"Weaving Is Fun" by Lou Tate, 1946.
"Handweaver's Instruction Manual" by Harriet C. Douglas, 1949, Pages 21/22.
Lots of fun!
-J.
