I'm just getting started on a very fancy wool and silk shawl, to be woven on an 8-harness loom. I'd like to add seed pearls or small beads to the fabric, but don't know how this is usually done. I'm planning on stringing them on a weft thread, then weaving with it and distributing the beads along the thread as needed. Anyone done this? Is there a better way? Thanks!
