I'm also intrigued by uncommon looms that pop up on the net--not only odd models, but the lesser-known makers, often defunct or deceased. It'd be great to have a catalogue of them, wouldn't it?

I'm going to the Mannings next week, and I'm expecting it'll be a great day. Tom is a super teacher who manages to pack tons of information into a day in a very pleasant way--you just flow from one thing to the next, and things that you thought would be hard suddenly seem simple and fun. Lots of big and little aha! moments. You don't realize how much you've learned until you get home and start putting it to use. I consider myself a difficult student, so I'm especially grateful for his patience and teaching style. I can envision wanting to study with different teachers for their special interests, like Moorman technique or color-and-weave, but that'll be in the future, after I've mastered the basics.

If you learn more about the Maxwell looms, even if it's down the road, it'd be great if you'd post about them!
