I am getting ready to sell a 56" Macomber loom on ebay and saw your request in this web site. The loom is located in Amherst, MA. It is a solid maple 4 harness, 6 treadle L.W. Macomber folding Ad-A-Harness floor loom, manufactured in 1950 and in perfect condition and beautiful shape. The front & back fold into the loom for a narrow profile for storing. Macomber is still in business in Maine, so parts and additional harneses can be ordered. The harnesses are all steel. This loom is expandable to 10 harnesses. Included are the following: 1 reed #5, Nilus/LeClerc warping board that is 30# by 55", 1 hand bottin winder, 6 reed hooks, 4 stick shuttles, 1 ski shuttle, 3 boat shuttles, 6 bobbins and 3 books on weaving. I'm selling the loom for a school and the school will be able to give the buyer a donati0n receipt for tax deduction purposes and if the buyer lives in MA, then the school could write up a bill of sale that would eliminate that as well. The school is asking $2,950 for the loom.
