Check out Patterworks--they have lots of baby yarns to choose from. I would choose either a cotton/acrylic blend, cotton (watch out for significant shrinkage!) or acrylic yarn. The machine washable wools are nice, too. I use knitting yarns for weaving baby blankets although places like Webs and Halcyon have coned yarns for weaving. I have woven baby blankets from inexpensive yarns from AC Moore and they have come out very nice and they wash and dry well. Jessie
