One of the really old Shuttle, Spindle & Dyepot from HandWeavers Guild of America had an article about a woman who wove herself a waist length cloak using a pattern cut in a 4 X 8 sheet of plywood. They put nails around the edge and then wove the cloak. It showed her wearing it at a Convergence. Went on to say her Guild passed it from person to person to all that wanted to weave on it.
