For sale...Lervad #2, four harness, six treadle, counterbalance loom with
hanging beater. These looms were made in Denmark by Anders Lervad between
1908 and 1930 and were sold by his sister-in-law, Miss Susanne Sorensen,
who gave weaving lessons at the Hull House in Chicago. I have a copy of the
catalog that shows this loom and others, an advertisement for the weaving
lessons at the Hull House, an email from Tue Lervad, Anders Lervad's
grandson, a stick shuttle and yarn that I will include with the loom. This
loom is very pretty with it's dark stain and is like a piece of furniture
with it's turned finials. It would make a lovely addition to your home.
Over all dimensions are 62 1/2" tall, 37 1/4" deep and 36" wide. Actual
weaving width is 24". I really hate to part with this loom but I realize
that I have too many looms I and need to sell this one to someone who will
use it. I would prefer not to ship. Located in Knoxville, Tn. Asking
$500.00.
Pictures available.
