HI Melissa. Join the crowd. There just seems to be so much out there and I was overwhelmed. We're lucky enough that there are a couple shops in our little town in WNY. I went to one and talked to the owner. I ended up buying a 26" rigid heddle loom and stand. It's small enough for little projects but big enough to be able to sew pieces together for a bigger piece like a rug. I book I got which I find very useful is Hands On Rigid Heddle Weaving by Betty Linn davenport. I can't remember the name of the loom co. it's Polish. They seem nicer then American made and cheaper.
