They've been in a cardboard barrel in the basement of a house for about 35 to 40 years. They are in remarkably good condition with no signs of bugs, mold, etc. The barrel really isn't in bad shape, no sign of moisture or anything as the bottom isn't even pulling away from the cardboard.
There was some tafeta type stuff that was on a shuttle but it is not only pink, it is weak.
I'll dig into it a bit tomorrow just to see how strong it is.
