I'm not sure what it is you want. If it is something to put the skein of yarn on to hold while you make it into a ball the back of a chair works good and is cheap. If you have kids have them hold their hands up, they're a captive audiance then. Other wise look in spinning and weaving books and you can see what they are like. Some give info. on how to make them.
