Hi everyone! I was recently in Bhutan and met a wonderful young woman, Kezang, who is a Bhutanese weaver. Her weaving is very traditional in style and her family is known for its weaving and its patterns.
She would like to find a sponsor to come teach her art here in the US.- for any length of time. I have some snapshots I took of her weaving to give you an idea of what she does. It takes about 3 months to make an average woman's dress (Kira)- but the designs are wonderful. Some kiras can take a year or more to weave.
