Hello my name is Luke Renner. I wanted to extend this invitation to the members of the Online Spinning & Weaving Guild. Next friday the Farmington Museum in Farmington, New Mexico will be opening "Poland's Woven Masterworks of Wool" an exhibit that represents over 200 years of Polish weaving. This is the first time these weavings have been displayed in America and is the result of an exchange between the Farmington Museum and Poland's Central Museum of Textiles.
In 2003 the Farmington Museum sent 31 Teec Nos Pos Navajo rugs to Poland. The Navajo rugs received the highest attendance of any exhibit at the Polish Museum with over 7,000 visitors in three months.
The Farmington Museum invites all members of the Online Spinning & Weaving Guild to attend. Please feel free to forward this information to anyone who may be interested in this exhibit also further information is available on the museum website http://www.farmingtonmuseum.org .
