Oh, yuck, definitely don't use it for cooking again. Even if you only use water, it's probably not a good idea. I know for dyeing it's always recommended to have a non-food one. They can be cheaply had at a store like Target (mine was $9.99) so you could buy a second one to use for the scouring.
