This is an EXTREMELY sturdy loom made of red oak (much more solid than my Schacht was). It is not designed to travel around with but to keep in an area where you don't have much space. It is so solid that you can even weave high-tension rugs on it. Visit www.kessenichlooms.com and you will see a picture of the maker sitting on one of these looms!
I bought this loom used less than a year ago, but I think it's about 15 years old or so. It is in great condition! I primarily weave silk and wool scarves on it.
