2 of Paula Simmon's books- Spinning & Weaving With Wool and Turning Wool Into a Cottage Industry have the plans you are looking for. I tried to make a picker from the plans & couldn't get the teeth to adjust correctly & finally saved up enough to buy a triple picker. A hint if you are going to try to build one- a benchtop grinder is the fastest way to sharpen the nails I used for the teeth- and plan on doing ALOT of hammering! Does anyone else have experience building one?
