My father just hauled a spinning wheel out of his basement and gave it to me. He "picked it up at an auction somwhere a few years ago." It is a really beautiful little wheel, I think Tyrolean style, maybe cherry wood, very ornate lathe work and ivory trimming, in decent to good working condition. I can't find any workmans marks on it to give me a clue where it might have come from. In between the functional wheel spokes are carved ivory points. Do you have any ideas? could I send you a picture? where else might I go for information? Thanks
Sara
