I just purchased what I'm told is a scarn at an antiques show yesterday. This one is intact with the wires and the bobbins or spools and was dated back to the early to mid 1800s. I can't find any further information about it but I do think it is very beautiful and will be a wonderful addition to the yarn shop I'm about to open!
