I've had the same problem which only is only recently corrected. In my case, I was not consistent with the warping- both tension and making the turns around the end pegs on the board. I am still not sure why this consistency is important, but after getting the Osterkamp book on paddle warping and following those directions, I became more conscious of the clockwise/counterclockwise turns and ever since I have not had a twist. (Oh and I gave up chaining, especially chenille) My max. warp length is about 7 yds and I curl the warp inside a large pot with layers of paper (waxpaper for wool) in between. So perhaps like me the problem is not in the beaming but in the warping....?
