try to get your hands on a video called "Spinning Exotic Fibres and Novelty Yarns" with Judith Mackenzie. Although her voice is so calm and quiet you might fall asleep, the sheer volume of information is stunning. (stunned and asleep!)
Maybe your local guild or library will have it. (don't forget that libraries can do an inter-library loan, so you can get almost anything if you're willing to wait long enough!)
