Hello Spinners and Weavers,
My name is Zofia and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area (Alameda) in
California.
My grandmother who raised me from age 6 recently passed away.
She lived to a great age of 101. She had planned on teaching me to Weave
Lavender Wands the week she passed away.
She told me no one else in the family was interested since she sold the
lavender farm and moved to the states 40 years ago. She wanted to pass the
craft down to our next generation through me because I dabble in a lot of
stuff. She taughe me to do Mosaic tiles and Macrame in the 60's and early
70's. In the late 70's to present she was teachig me quilting,
candlewicking, hand crochet, and tatting. I never realized that I was the
only one in MY generation with any interest in hand crafting. I have also
become interested in making my own aroma oils, candles, lotions and lip blams.
SO MY QUESTION TO YOU WONDERFUL FOLKS IS: DOES ANYONE OUT THERE IN YOUR
WEAVING OR SPINNING CIRCLES HAVE BOOKS OR MANUALS OR HOW TO'S FOR WEAVING
LAVENDER WANDS? IF SO, COULD YOU PLEASE CONTACT ME VIA E MAIL SO I COULD
FIND OUT JUST HOW TO DO THIS. I HAVE ABOUT 20 LBS. OF LAVENDER JUST WAITING
FOR WAND WEAVING. MY HOUSE SMELLS SO WONDERFUL IT'S AMAZING! TO BAD THERE
ISN'T SCRATCH AND SNIFF ON THE INTERNET! LOL!
THANK YOU FOR READING MY E MAIL AND FOR YOUR TIME.
BLESSINGS TO ALL
