While it is a great idea to support your local wool producers, you can also find wool, in raw or carded condition through an internet search, or on eBay.com.
Closer to home you might also check with your local county extension agent to see if he or she has recommendations for local wool producers, or with a local spinning or weaving guild to see if members have recommendations.
