Hi Judy, my husband emailed you yesterday. I would like to
ask you some questions, if you don't mind. The loom looks
beautiful. How old is it? Did you buy it new? It looks like
it's got string heddles on it, am I seeing that right? If so, do
you think wire heddles could be used? I'm weaving a rug currently,
and we use linen warp. I was just wondering if you have any experience
using linen, and if the strings catch on it. It also looks like you, in
the picture that is, are using a wool warp. I really don't have any knowledge
of Cranbrook looms. I learned on a 10' LeClerc, and I'm using a 5' LeClerc now.
I've got to say, I'm not too pleased with the way it's performing. It is obvious to
me that it was not designed to be used in this manner, and acts like it! Thanks for
sending the pictures, too. It looks lovely!
Laurie
