I have an old Brittany. It is made so that one can tighten the continuous warp by using an allen wrench at the top of each upright, on either side. If you have a stand, the loom just sits in the clamps and the allen wrench is used to tighten the clamps. The stand is also assembled by using the allen wrench. I do not have any written instructions, but the loom also operates with a sword and a "rigid-heddle" type beater. Is your loom put together at all, or is it just "sticks"?
